Fraud Alert: Protect Yourself from Scams

We’ve seen an increase in customers receiving and unfortunately falling victim to fraudulent texts, emails and phone calls claiming to be from trusted businesses like E-ZPass, Amazon, UPS, various banks and more. These scams attempt to trick you into clicking malicious links and sharing personal or financial information.

How These Scams Work

Scammers send messages or make phone calls that appear to be from legitimate companies, often claiming:

  • You have an unpaid bill or missed delivery.
  • Your account has been locked or compromised.
  • You must confirm personal details immediately.

These messages or calls pressure you to act fast but don’t fall for it!

How to Spot a Scam

  • Unexpected payment requests? Verify directly with the company.
  • Urgent language designed to create panic? Take a moment to assess.
  • Suspicious links? Never click, go to the official website instead.

What to Do If You Receive One

  • Do not click any links or respond.
  • Delete the message immediately.
  • Report it as spam through your phone or email provider.
  • If you’ve provided any personal or payment information, contact the card issuer immediately.

Stay Safe Online

Your security is our top priority. If you’re ever unsure about a message or call, always verify by contacting the company directly using a verified phone number or website.
