Generations Bank Rededicates Bell Garden as Menzo D. Case Memorial Bell Garden to Honor Late President & CEO

Seneca Falls, N.Y. – Generations Bank has rededicated the bell garden at their headquarters at 20 E Bayard Street to the Menzo D. Case Memorial Bell Garden, honoring the legacy of their longtime President & CEO, Menzo D. Case, who passed away suddenly in October 2023. Originally unveiled in September 2022, the garden was envisioned and brought to life by Case.

To mark this rededication, two new exhibit signs have been installed in the garden. One sign provides detailed information about the garden’s four bells, while the other highlights the impact Case had on the Seneca Falls community and the Finger Lakes region.

Angela Krezmer, President & CEO of Generations Bank, stated, “Menzo was a remarkable leader who deeply valued the history and heritage of Seneca Falls. We are proud to rename the bell garden in his honor, as a tribute to the lasting impact he had on both Seneca Falls and the greater Finger Lakes community.”

The bell garden features four fully functional bells that commemorate significant anniversaries:

  • The 150th anniversary of the Generations Bank charter.
  • The 175th anniversary of the Seneca Falls Convention.
  • The 75th anniversary of the film It’s a Wonderful Life.
  • The 170th anniversary of the ITT Goulds Pumps charter.

The bells ring daily at 11am, as a tribute to the Seneca Falls Convention, which commenced at 11am on July 19, 1848 and again at 5pm. Additionally, the garden features the original Wescott Ruler bell, a historic piece from the Seneca Falls Historical Society.
